The Washington Post editorial board is now

 an embarrassment

November 11, 2025

Jeff Bezos was actually a decent steward of the Washington Post when he first bought it in 2013. He put money into the business and let it operate, editorially at least, independently. The newsroom rewarded his trust by winning many awards, including a Pulitzer for its January 6 coverage. Technologically, he brought it up to speed, doubling its web viewership in three years which, in  fact, made it profitable.

But the hiring of Will Lewis as publisher and CEO has been a disaster. Cozying up to Trump has been an embarrassment. And now his editorial policies threaten to be ruinous. He needs a swift and decisive course correction to right this ship.
